What is the light in the front of the Temp ID Printer for?
The light indicates if there is power to the temp id printer.
A solid light indicates that there is power to the printer, a blinking light means that there are no labels in the temp id printer or they weren't fed in properly; and no light means that there is no power to the printer. If the light isn't on then it may have been inadvertently disconnected.
Lift the printer and look to the back to see if the cable is connected to the power socket. You may want to confirm the USB cable is connected at this time as well. If not connected plug it in, and if it was plugged in still follow the cable to the switching adaptor (the black brick looking item) and make sure the cable is connect to it and follow it to the surge protector or electrical outlet -- whatever the case may be.
Please be aware that connecting the power or the usb cord will start your prior job. You may want to check the printers folder to see if you have any repeats of the same print job.
I have had a customer or two that clicked the printer several times to "make it work" when the power was not connected and when they connected the power to the temporary id printer they had several copies of the same temporary ID badge.
